This town was economic center of the Czech kingdom for pretty long time! Believe or not, one third of European silver production used to be mined in silver mines of Kutna Hora in middle ages! And Czech kings had coins of local silver minted here. When driving there, I will explain you, how it happened, that expression “dollar” originates right here in the Czech Republic!

It was literary an anteroom to the hell. Jews from all over the present Czech Republic were sent first to Terezin concentration camp, to be gathered here and isolated from other people and to be sent in freight cars to Auschwitz later. But not only Czech Jews experienced imprisonment within thick walls of Terezin. Also Jews from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and other countries came here with the hope that it will not be so bad.

The successor to the Austrian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’ Este, had been waiting here in Konopiste Castle for long time to become an emperor of the Austro – Hungarian Empire. But he was assassinated, World War I started and eventually Hapsburgs lost both the war and the whole empire. And also this castle, which became property of the Czech state.

KARLOVY VARY - 10 HOURS
Once more Charles IV! He established this spa town in the 14th century. Even then they recognized healing power of local hot springs. The town became later very popular among celebrities from all over the world: Emperor Franz Josef I and his wife Sisi, Karl Marx, Goethe, Beethoven, Atatürk, Sigmund Freud, Chopin… This place is also visited every year by many movie stars, since there is annual international movie festival.



PILSEN - 6 HOURS
Czech beer is the best beer in the world. That’s what we say, what we think and what we drink. We have got dozens of breweries in the Czech Republic, but the most famous one was established in the town Plzen (English Pilsen). It is possible and recommended to visit the brewery, to discover a secret of the most appreciated beer in my country.



NIZBOR CRYSTAL GLASSWORKS AND MEDIEVAL KARLSTEJN CASTLE - 8 HOURS
Only few products being made in the Czech Republic never lost its superb quality, even not under communist - and famous Bohemian Crystal was one of them.
